Using a hotspot is a smart way to structure the content of your presentation.
These widgets are essentially the best way to create interactivity.
It helps to avoid your slides appearing too full and disorganized. Clicking on the hotspot makes all the content that you've attached appear. It is up to you if you want to add a textbox, images, videos, calculators and graphs. Try it yourself and make your slides look more professional.
Tip for working with a hotspot:
Uncheck the marked checkbox for disabling the hotspots to make changes to the widgets that are under the hotspots. (Note: Don't worry, you are not disabling hotspots in the presentation, merely hiding them to edit what is underneath.)
You are then able to make changes.
If you'd like to use a Hotspot creatively, you can make the background invisible.
In order to make the background invisible while using a hotspot you can do the following:
1. Add hotspot.
2. Choose function and add content (e.g. image).
3. In the colour section you can now adjust the transparency of your hotspot.
4. Adjust the transparency by moving the slider.
If you have odd-sized images, we recommend making these a .png file format and also making the background transparent. (Note: This needs to be done before the file is uploaded to Prezentor.)
Using transparency can also help when you want to hide lines (1px) in case an image doesn’t have the intended size for a slide or hotspot.
Lastly, if you'd like to learn how to use Hotspots, then watch the video below!
NEW! You can now name each hotspot!
Until now, hostspots were automatically labeled in the editor as "H1", "H2", etc., but now you can give them a title, to make it easier to identify them.
This is very useful especially for tracking and analytics purposes, as it will make it immediately clear in your reports what buttons or icons the buyer has interacted with.
Naming your hotspots is very easy:
- Select the desired hotspot
- Click on "advanced" in the right-end menu
- Type in a name for the label
- ...and remember to check "Show in report" to be able to see it among your stats
Now the assigned name will be visible in your reports:
